Volunteers are needed to help clients shop by ensuring they take the allotted number of items and weigh their carts before they exit the pantry. Age 12+

Youth Voice Action Collective (YVAC) Fund is a black youth-led organization dedicated to funding, empowering, and restoring faith for youth of color and their families. Through transformative storytelling, solidarity economy practices, and investing in alternative solutions, YVAC supports these communities in reaching their aspirations, meeting their basic needs, and challenging dominant systems.

Volunteers are needed to help pack emergency food boxes and re-pack or sort fresh nutritious food that will be distributed through Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County. Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Must wear long pants & closed-toe shoes. Volunteers will assist the kitchen staff with prep work, serving meals in the soup kitchen, light cleaning, stocking, organizing, and clean-up. Kids over 12 are welcome if supervised.
